The term "cloud computing" describes the practice of using a network to make ICT services (e.g. applications, computing power or storage capacity, etc.) available dynamically and in line with needs. Cloud computing does not describe a new technology, and is instead a new way of providing and using ICT services. It uses a range of established technologies such as broadband internet, virtualisation and multi-client capability.
