Programme Office

As the administrative unit of the Steering Committee, an eGovernment Switzerland Programme Office contained within the Federal IT Steering Unit (FITSU) will coordinate implementation of the strategy.

Responsibilities:

According to article 10 of the Framework Agreement, the Advisory Board has the following responsibilities:

  1. It prepares the agenda items of the Steering Committee and the Advisory Board and keeps minutes of the meetings. It monitors implementation of the decisions of the Steering Committee.
  2. It is the contact point for lead organisations and is responsible for the development and cultivation of the network of relationships with the cantons and the involved federal offices.
  3. It supports the lead organisations in their preparation of special agreements and, in cooperation with the Swiss IT Conference (SIK/CSI), supplies financing models and sample contracts.
  4. Through appropriate communication measures, it ensures the necessary transparency. In particular, it maintains and updates the implementation instruments on behalf of the Steering Committee and publishes them on the internet.
  5. It works together with the Conference of Government Chancellors and the Secretariat of the SIK/CSI as a communication and coordination hub for the cantons and the municipalities.
  6. It ensures controlling of the implementation of the eGovernment Strategy.
  7. It observes the eGovernment activities in Switzerland and abroad, and it identifies duplications and potential synergies.
  8. It submit an annual report on the status of implementation to the Steering Committee.
